Sulphide Toner ( Sepia )
- Solution A :- Bleach working solution. This is reusable.
- water :- 700ml
- potassium ferricyanide :- 50 gramme's
- potassium bromide:- 50 gramme's
- Water to :- 1000ml.
- Solution B :- Toner. Stock solution used 1 + 9 with water
- water :- 300 ml
- Sodium sulphide anhydrous:- 50 gramme's
- water to :- 1000ml
Place the print, having been pre soaked in water, to be toned in solution A. The black areas of the image will bleach to a pale straw colour. This will take about 5 minutes. Wash the print in water for approx. 5 minutes and then place in a tray containing the toner. Finally wash the toned print in water for 30 - 45 minutes. Do not wash with other prints.
